This was Sophie's third attempt at practicing my design. Seeing our last practice session I had the ribbon as part of the design, however I wasn't really pleased withe the overall look including the ribbon. During this practice session I asked Sophie to use the golden colored braid just on top of the hair line as I wanted to see what effect it gives off. I also used the same braid to tie the hair on the side as I was to use the ribbon originally. I didn't really quite like the look of it as to me it gave a hippy effect rather than Elizabethan. We kept the big hair the same as I want it to have a round shape at the front. I was really happy with the shape of the hair as it represented both Elizabethan and contemporary hair. With the hair at the back, I like how Sophie used the hair to hide the pins in the hair. Although I would prefer it to be a little less puffy but I can understand that it would be hard to achieve that as the hair is crimped. I wanted to leave some hair dangling sown on the sides of the head and wanted to curl it rather than crimp. As it was too short it didn't curl properly, so on the other side Sophie tried zig-zag curl to see what it looks like. To be honest I didn't like how they both looked and I would prefer to have all the hair up. After having all these practice sessions I have twitched my design with little things yet kept the design original. On the final timed assessment I will be adding in adornments on the hair for the final look.
