- This was my 3rd trial at practicing Sophie's design as I will be creating her design first during the timed assessment.
- Everything was done the exact same way except for a few things which are:
- After gripping the hair doughnuts to the head, I took a small amount of hair from around the doughnuts and tied that section into a small pony tail on top of the doughnuts.
- I then combed the rest of the hair and tied it all up into a pony tail on the one I had created before.
- I found that this worked and the main ponytail was now sitting directly on top of the doughnuts and I was finally pleased with this.
- While braiding the hair as said from our previous practice session that we will try using hair extensions, I incorporated the extensions half way through the braid and also included the hair left out above the ears .
- On one side we used less extensions and on the other side we used more to see what works best. We both thought that using less extensions looks better as it is not so clumpy over Sophie's forehead.
- We will now be using extensions in the final timed assessment.
- I was a little more pleased with the loop at the back during this practice session as it was pretty symmetrical but not quite there yet.
- For the timed assessment I need to keep all this in mind and I will try my best to create Sophie's design that she will be pleased with.
