Practical- Sophie Practicing My Design

• This was Sophie's second trial creating my design. 
• She firstly crimped my hair. 
• Next she backcombed the front sections as they will be put up in a puff.
• I forgot to get my hair rat to this practice session, so we used one from the studio. 
• After placing the hair rat in place she pinned the hair from the front in place. 
• This time Sophie places the hair rat slightly on to of the crown of the head than last time, to see whether we wold get more volume. 
• We left a section of hair out of the puff next to the hair line as I wanted a few zig zag curls at the front to see what effect it gives. 
• As I did not have the ribbon on me Sophie improvised and used a lanyard as a ribbon.

• Looking at the complete hairstyle I I am pleased with the volume at the front of the head than the last time. 
• However, I wanted a more round shape but maybe this depends on the hair rat. 
• I wanted to try the look with zig zag curls at the front and I think I prefer the look without them.
• If I was to use a ribbon I would have wanted it to be placed exactly on this point of the head. 
• Looking at it I think I would prefer the look without it as I want it to look like a round puff from the front and sides. 
• Trying out these different techniques to see what works and doesn't I think Sophie did well.
• The next time we practice I will concentrate more on getting the round shape and use my own hair rat. 
• I am now thinking of decorating the hair with a thin golden braid that will sit just right on top of the hair line and tie the hair on the side as well.
