Final Timed Assessment- My Design

These are the pictures of my design from the final timed assessment that Sophie created om me. Keeping the look Elizabethan I added peacock feathers and pearls to my final design as the style was very contemporary and Sophie did a good job with the placement. The frizzed hair also referenced the Elizabethan Era. Looking at the final pictures, I think Sophie did a great job and I was quite pleased with the final Outcome. Seeing Sophie throughout all the practice sessions I would say that she has come a long way and has really put her all in creating this assessment. Compared to all the practice looks that we did this is by far the best one that she did. I felt that Sophie has created the round shape of the hair well and the fact that it is pretty even all over. This was also a result of using a more mandible hair rat. As I stated in our last practice blog that I wouldn't like the back to be really bulky, I was pleased with how she done it during the assessment as it wasn't as bulky. I liked how Sophie covered the pins at the back with the pearls and I also liked how she put in the peacock feathers without it looking messy. To keep it Elizabethan I added in the pearls to cover the rubber band tying the hair and also added in the peacock feathers as I felt the look was more modern.
What I feel could be improved was that there were some strands of hair that were kind of uneven on top and on the sides of the head. Although Sophie used a lot of hairspray she could have used a tiny amount of hair gel to sit them in place. She could have done the same with the baby hairs I had at the front of my head.
Overall I am pleased with how Sophie crated my design and used her own initiative in how to cover the pins and when adding the feathers.
