I have chosen this to be my final design as I really like the contemporary and Elizabethan references this hairstyle has. As Elizabethan hair it has the crimped effect and texture. It also has volume as hair was preferred to be big as it represented class. As a contemporary hairstyle it has this amazing volume and hair left open onto one side. This makes it very stylish. I will be using a ribbon as an adornment in the hair. While carrying out my research I came across an image of Elizabeth from the movie Shakespeare in love in which, peacock feathers were used as a collar ruff. I would like to try and incorporate these into my final design which I will have to practice and experiment.
