Face Charts- 3 Final Designs

My first design is inspired by Amy Winehouse hair and crimped hair. I will have all the hair crimped and I will also be using a hair rat to achieve the volume as well as backcombing. I will be using a ribbon as a decorative piece which I will have across the on top of the head and will be tied at the back. This will give a clean hairline and make my forehead appear bigger. The front will be in a puff and the rest of the hair will be tied with the remaining ribbon and left open on the side. I personally really like this design and want it to be my final design, however I want to try  out the other two designs to see whether or not I pick this one as my final design.

My second design is inspired from braids and particularly the hairstyle I saw in snow white and the huntsmen. This hairstyle will also have crimped hair as I want a two big french braids going across the forehead almost forming a crown like shape. With any remaining hair at the back, I want it to be in a simple bun or style it using braids.

I tried doing this design on my Katie head as I wanted to see what it would look like before I finalized my design. I wasn't very pleased with the frontal look as it looks very flat and more Elizabethan than contemporary. Although, I really liked the look at the back as it gave off this amazing shape with all the french braids at the back.

My third design is inspired from the Chanel heart shaped hair. I will have the hair crimped as this will give the hair volume and texture, I will use padding to create the shape. At the front of the hair I want to part a section. This hair will be curled and gripped to the head in the form of pin curls.

I also tried out this design as I wanted to have a look at what it would look like. I was really happy with the volume in the hair and the heart shape, as I wanted the hair to look big with lots of volume. I also liked the look of the petal like pin curls that went along the hair line as it gave off a very neat look could give the illusion of a high forehead. At the back of the head to make it a little modern, I twisted the hair up and pined it inwards which almost looked like a french roll. Looking at this design and the second design  I think they are both more Elizabethan tan Contemporary, whereas the first design has a little of both which balances them out.
